The Duchess of Cambridge, formerly known as Kate Middleton, will turn 30 years old on Monday. What can a girl get for her birthday who has everything? Here are a few suggestions.
Commonwealth Realms Worldwide Tour
For someone who might like to travel, a trip throughout all 16 of the Commonwealth Realms of the British Monarchy may be in order. There are some fairly luxurious places Middleton and her husband can visit on their jet-setting tour of the realms. In addition to the United Kingdom, the birthday girl may consider trips to several places to alleviate any winter time blues.
She can travel to The Bahamas for some winter-time sunbathing. Australia just began its summer and has some lush tropical destinations for the happy couple. Canada has some prime ski resorts Middleton can enjoy. Members of the royal family, including Prince Harry, love to ski as evidenced by the young prince's recent trip to Switzerland. At least Middleton can make her trip look more official if she visits countries associated with the crown.
Huge Charitable Donations
In light of the tough economic times, the Duchess of Cambridge can accept gifts for her charities that she had decided to patronize. For their wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge invited Britons to donate to their charitable wedding fund. Now that Middleton has her own four charities she belongs to, well-wishers can give money to help support her causes.
Among the beneficiaries of Middleton's time and money are Action on Addiction, East Anglia's Children's Hospices, The Art Room and the National Portrait Gallery in London. Any of these four worthy organizations would love a huge financial lift during the winter months.
Baby News
Only Prince William can give his wife the birthday gift of a baby in their family. Rumors have been swirling for two months that the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant but no official word has been given. What a wonderful 30th birthday gift it would be if Middleton found out she was pregnant on Jan. 9. It would be even more fantastic news for Britons if they found out on the same day.
No matter what the girl who has everything gets for her birthday, entering her third decade of life is something special to be celebrated.
